Had a lovely dinner here and enjoyed the cozy atmosphere while unwinding in the garden with a great view. The tranquil spots really made it easy to relax after a long day out in nature. Just a small note, some areas still had a faint paint smell from recent touch-ups, but it didn't take away from the overall experience! 😊

Great stay with friends! We loved hiking around the countryside and visiting local ale houses. The atmosphere was cozy, the service friendly, and the food was top-notch. the clean and comfortable rooms made it easy for us to relax after a day of adventures.
One downside was that our bathroom setup was a bit odd, with the shower stall in the bedroom, which felt less private than expected.

Had a lovely stay at the Barrasford Arms. The atmosphere felt cozy with a nice log fire in the bar area. I really enjoyed the excellent menu options, especially the pork belly. it was a standout dish. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the check-in process smooth. Found the room clean and comfortable, but the TV was outdated and small, and the bathroom lacked sufficient shelf space. The breakfast was delicious, though I'd appreciate a bit more diversity in food choices. a great spot to relax after a day of hiking and exploring the area. I'd recommend it, but a few updates would enhance the experience.

It was just an excellent fit for resting at all in Hexham with reasonable value. The service was pleasant, even when we were surprised by the limited menu options. Keep in mind to check the menu prices individually if you're only ordering one dish.

missingWrote a review on 07 Aprcountryside settingcommon areascold room
The scenic countryside setting provides a charming backdrop for relaxation, perfect for those exploring the area. The common areas, while basic, allowed ample space to unwind after our outdoor activities.
Our room had a door with an opaque window, letting the landing light invade our sleep space all night. While the room itself was compact, it felt a bit grimy, and the lack of adequate heating was disappointing, leaving the space cold. The bar area was uninspired, with no beer available, making it a less-than-cozy environment to unwind after a day’s hike. Breakfast had limited options, falling short of what I expected—as did the chilly common areas, which were less inviting than hoped.
